I started shipping websites and web applications in 2005 and have been at it ever since. Along the way I co-founded DirectDental as CTO, took it from concept to a working platform serving the dental industry, and learned what it takes to run a business, not just build one.
That experience changes the questions I ask. A technically interesting system is not enough. It has to fit the workflow, create a useful outcome, and be maintainable by the people who own it.
